Lets Reflect On 2015

If you get a 1926 Far you have one of the more sought after 1922 - Present nickels. I have it in VG-8. It gets quite pricey in higher grades.

Certainly is a near and a far. Did you get it in a roll because that would be very rare.

I've been a numismatist more or less for the past five years now...

In 2015 I started buying less from ebay and more from local coin shows and sellers. I've learned that I generally get better value from transactions made in-person and I enjoy the engagement I have with these people. Also, I'm worried about buying ebay fakes unknowingly.

I have been very scattered in how I collect, randomly grabbing a bit of everything without working to complete any particular set - there's so much interesting stuff out there! In late 2015 I decided to become more disciplined in my approach, honing in on completing sets and then moving on to the next item of interest. Let's see if that sticks!
