I don't see this as AU, I'm at VF-35 and think its been polished.

AU-50, I'm not seeing anything that screams cleaned on this one. Lots of original dirt in the protected areas.

Why in both both pictures at the bottom can I see a gap on the rim? Both the obverse and reverse have it. Is it just weird to me because of the angle maybe?

EF-45 likely cleaned based on the hairlines on the reverse.
