Cataloged a new dairy token for Hawaiian collectors. Unlisted in the Hawaiian Money Standard catalog 2nd Edition by Medcalf & Russell. Not sure if its listed in any other dairy token reference books.
I located an exact copy of the logo (in a periodical search at an undisclosed library) and I date its use in the mid 1930's on the island of Oahu, Territory of Hawaii (T.H.). The periodical has a 1935 date. However, here are additional findings:
1897 - Dairymen's Association formed in T.H. 1900 - Name changed to Honolulu Dairymen's Association 1915 - Term "Velvet Ice Cream" first used in T.H. 1959 - Name change to Meadow Gold Dairies Hawaii
As for my Mai Tai, I'm still researching these two tokens. I believe majority were destroyed when this unique Waikiki Hotel was closed. Interesting 9 part webpage on the Tiki Architecture from the 1950s in the link below.
