When I get a box of halves, I am just looking for any coin prior to 1970. Are there any error coins I should be looking for while I CRH? Pictures are always appreciated.

This will be my final reply to your blast of messages inquiring about 'errors'.

to the CCF and you will find many world class experts here.

My comments in reply to your 'nickel error' topic apply here as well.

I politely suggest that you take a look through the forum ... Coin Roll Hunting ... where you will find entire long running threads dedicated to every series you are asking about.

Within those threads ... should you choose to take the time ... is a wealth of knowledge and indeed lots of photographs.

Enjoy your time here with us at the CCF.

Most people know the 1964 Kennedy was 90% silver and 1965 through 1970 was 40% silver, but other silver halves were minted for SMS (special mint sets) and proof issues. Look for any S mints because sometimes these coins find their way into circulation.

" Cuds" would probably be the easiest to spot when roll hunting.

I'd imagine any error on the rim. Just look as you unroll.

You can spot the 1972D missing the FG initials with your naked eye and the 1982P missing the FG initials as well.

The 1974D DDO is easy to spot with a loupe.

There rest of the DDO's need to be UNC for you to spot the doubling with a loupe.
