ebay seller - frans_coins - has numerous Chinese copy lincoln wheat cents (1909svdb, 1914-d, 1931-s, etc)

I need your assistance to review. Is this a Chinese copy like all other coin auctions from frans_coins ?

Looks like it. How sharp is the edge?

Fake. It should have much larger stars. From the no-no site.

Now Skippy, think. How's he supposed to answer that? He's got exactly the two pictures posted above, nothing more. You can tell just as well as he can how sharp the edge is.

Can't help with the authenticity but I would hazard a guess that if the seller has lots of other coins that are fakes, it seems very unlikely they would have a similar one that is the real thing.

Let's do it this way:

Fake from the no-no site:

Real-Or-Fake-?-1810-1/2-Cent---From-Frans_coins

Genuine coin from PCGS:

Real-Or-Fake-?-1810-1/2-Cent---From-Frans_coins

The originals were broadstruck so the edge should be rounded, not flat. This looks fake

ebay seller has ended the auction - item is no longer for sale... who knows - maybe a private sale to an eager ebay shopper....

LOL...That's a good one! Skippy says" "It looks like he took a 2 blurry photos of a coin in his collection." Skippy just looked at the coin (missed the ebay part)to see it was bad; and was too fast to reply.
Bad Skippy. Bet the OP wondered what Skippy was asking also :)

Good on ya Skippy. I usually just leap before looking when I'm on ebay and see an auction almost over. I bid on it, win, then go huh! I've already got one of those!
