it seems to be on the edge of near and normal date. if this is a near date, I believe it to be VAM 5. there is slight profile doubling and theres the vertical die scratch in the eagles mouth as described on VAM world. thanks for looking.

Sometimes the line between near, normal and far date positions gets fuzzy. What appears to be near can sometimes be considered farthest left of normal.

so would it make sense that this is VAM 5, which calls it a near date? or should I look for a match in the normal date section

I'd call it a near date, so if the profile is doubled, VAM 5 seems correct.
