Looks like the S is supposed to look. Not sure of the variety and which way is supposed to be more valuable. What other information do you have about large or small S?

can you get a picture with the small window sil?

this is how I tell them draw line across and line up if a piece is in the lower right west quad its a large date.

there are two large dates mint mark styles

here is coops image which has the other mint mark style

Looks like the large "S" to me. The small "S" has more curves to that shape of the mint mark.

Man you guys are good. It think it sits below window sil. The other reason I thought Large was the serif thingy on the bottom of S points up, while the small one kind of points downward. Thank you.

The location of the mint mark varies from die to die because they were hand punched into the dies. So the location of the mint mark is not a good guide.
