Hello Broken-Coin. I have this on ebay right now. ebay # 391368752618. It has the district numbers as well as the seal in reverse as it should be but I suspect this is some sort of chemical/pressure transfer, not BEP produced. What do you think?

I believe it is a pressure transfer after entering circulation. Last fall I received a new 2013 $5.00 that displayed the same type transfer, this transfer was on the paper and I believe it happened in the postal system...

I recently stopped posting what I consider fraudulent (fake) currency errors listed on ebay, as I believe there is not much interest here... Today I find another Seller with 100% positive feedback, selling a fake error that already has 1 bid... I also find countless listings on uneven boarders/margins sold as errors... They are NOT errors, and actually lower the Grade of a Note in Gem Condition if boarders/margins are not 100% centered on both sides... (If unsure what I'm referring to, I can post a listing here).. This will most likely be my last post on this Thread, and just monitor it from time to time looking for other member postings warning of current fraudulent ebay listings... Should anyone want to place a bid on error currency, and not sure if what they like is a genuine or fake error, message me, and I promise, if what you find is spectacular (or not), I will NOT bid against you...

I just checked my old unread ebay messages, and sad to say someone not only got taken on the false error on the bottom of page 1, they also gave the seller positive feedback on this note.. And here we have a Religious Holy Roller that when advised his listing is a fake cutting error, proceeds to sell his fake as a Genuine error.. I guess his God gave him no Conscious when it comes to taking advantage of the uninformed..

Thanks for the information but I don't buy ANY notes. I am the owner/operator of a deli that deals in almost all cash transactions.

The currency is genuine, the errors are self made with zero premium value.. ebay is flooded with fake errors, both coins & currency..

Quote: How many counterfeits do you detect on a daily basis? I've been quite lucky ... Only one $20 bill that I can remember. It was about 5 years ago. Most of my $100s come from the bank.

Quote: How many counterfeits do you detect on a daily basis? Parklane64, I just got back from the bank from making a deposit. They found, what they think, is a counterfeit $100 bill. It's on its way to the Secret Service to confirm. If it is fake I will have to take it off of my taxes next year. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper!

You don't use a testing device on $50s and $100s?

I found this on the Bay yesterday, and while I believe those that follow my Web Postings will know immeadiately that this is a PMG Label Error, as this note is not a Web Note.. I did message the seller, but I believe he knew this and just wants to get top dollar for this note.. Bottom Line, This is a Minor Misalignment Error and not valued anywhere near his asking price..
