Yowza! I'll bet you wish there were 24 Fed districts rather than just 12! Congrats -

Coinfrog: No, 12 are enough! Don't forget, I have some more sets still in progress: I need 3 more $20 notes 6 more $50 notes 3 more $100 notes 10 (!) more $500 notes and 1 more $1000 note to complete my collection. So I really think 12 districts are ok.

amrys - all kidding aside, once you've finished your collection and loaned it to Binion's casino, what do you think you will tackle next?

Coinfrog: You say "all kidding aside"? It seems that you're nevertheless still kidding... I don't think that I will be able to complete all LGS sets so soon. So your question is more hypothetical. I will need much more time and money to get nearer to completion. But to be honest: LGS are my favor, that doesn't mean that I don't collect anything beside these notes. In fact I collect many other US notes around 1934 and around 1969, but nothing as avidly as LGS. I'm always very specialized, makes many things more practical.

amrys - do the LGS from other series hold interest? There are some real challenges in the '28-A and '28-C issues.
I am a kidder, but I'm not kidding when I say how much I admire the scope of the collection you are building.

This would be pretty impressive in any condition...but adding the condition that all your sets are in is amazing and quite an accomplishment.

Coinfrog: You are a kidder? Oh, I should have known it... Of course there are possible goals after I'll complete the 1934 LGS set. But to find 1928, 1928A, 1928C and 1928D LGS notes is - as you've mentioned - surely really difficult. I don't know - not now - if I will try this. And I usually concentrate my search and ambitions on one area like the 1934 LGS notes. Sometimes this is a key to success. So the question, which notes I could collect intensively after the 1934 LGS are complete, is - as I said - actually more hypothetical.

amrys - Got it. For sure the '34 LGS notes are the perfect collecting challenge, being issued by all districts in all denominations. I am working on about 6 different sets myself (including the Black Eagles and the '28 $100s by district) in 65, so I'll never have to scratch my head again about what to collect next!
