Here you go. I may have mentioned the grade on a different thread a while back, so if you know please don't post here. The coin has some faint electric blue toning on the reverse which is barely visible in hand but shows up strongly in my pictures. I would also like your opinions on whether to crack it for the 7070. Grade will be posted in a few days.

Tough pics through plastic. Looks at least MS65. I'd crack it for my type set

It's a proof. No one would slab an Unc '55 dime.

At least, I hope not.

I guess MS 65.

If its not a 67, you should feel comfortable cracking it out for your type set.

No clue other than it still looks like a proof.

It is a proof, I'll give you that much. I wouldn't have got it for the 7070 otherwise.

I'll post the grade around noon on Friday, or if no one says anything for a day.

Okay, it's graded PCGS PR68, Cert no. 70040271.
Is it worth cracking, or would I risk damaging it?

Think I was closest. I almost said PR67. ;)

The slab can be cracked open without damaging the coin. The real issue is do you really want to do that with a PCGS certified PR68 coin? That's probably a personal decision that you'll need to make on your own.

In hindsight, I would have been better off purchasing a lower grade example. This would look a lot better in my type set than the circulated 57 that's there now, but I'm not sure I would want to take it out. The coin also has a nice cameo from some angles.
