This was spotted by one of our CCF members and cited on a thread about CWT's. I thought it might also be noted here, given the similarity of the fake process, use of transfer dies. Here's the seller: http://www.ebay.com/sch/sisiffu1/m....2&rmvSB=trueNote the splotchy color and granular surfaces that make all these fakes appear to have come out of the same hole. Most of the varieties would be valued in the $50-$100 range, if genuine. A few would be worth more, and there are a few common varieties, too. It appears that the seller is attempting to fly below the radar, so to speak. I took the time to report all 24 listings and hope that this seller will be banned from ebay. Fixed the link ... Bobby, Hope you can nix the seller! He's added 17 new fakes, all of which I've reported. There are fake BBC, good-fors and merchant tokens now included. The one getting the highest bids now is a fake sutler token. http://www.ebay.com/sch/sisiffu1/m....e&rmvSB=true

Yes, all fakes. A knowledgeable group of CWTS members, with whom I've corresponded, concur. Possibly, this was the same seller who was previously operating from another European country, as all the fakes share the same diagnostics.
Bobby, if you want the particulars I have, PM me. I don't believe that the CWTS guys, officers, authors, dealers, etc. are CCF members.

Thanks, Bobby. The CWTS members with whom I've been corresponding are among the top authorities on tokens in the country.

Wow great work I liked the Oswego Token, but looked like a poor cast This forum is working well, imo.

Great job, Bobby. The CWT guys are quite impressed. Of course, it may only be a matter of time before the cheat pops up, again.

You know I really appreciate your effort to expose these fake items. Right now that seller has no items for sale and out of a 100 plus sales that gave feed back only one reported this seller as having fakes. He then called the customer a liar. Please keep up the good work. I hope to learn more from you all so I can start exposing fakes too. A few years ago I did have an experience with two sellers who I exposed, one selling a false item, the other cancelling bids that were not in his favor after the bidding ended. He then went on to rebid the same item that he claimed not to be able to find. Haven't seen either (not that I know of) since then.

And that, folks, is how it works. Now, where in the world is bobby131313? Doesn't matter, you know 'where' to find him. I love to hear about the beagle boys getting busted!
