I am pretty sure that these are Machine Doubling. Basically I am just looking for confirmation. There was also doubling on the words one cent but that didn't show up in the scans.

Yes, the year on that coin is 1986. I take it that is a common year for the doubling shown? I also have an 85 and an 80 but the doubling on those isn't as severe. Not that there worth anything more than a penny anyway but still interesting. Thanks for the confirmation guys.

I save extreme ones for educational purposes. I started of with one roll that had what was odd in them. Then I moved them into four categories. Extreme machine doubling/extreme markers/strike though grease/extreme die cracks. I have these handy as I might need images for discussion. I can find them fast that way and its always nice to see an image that you hadn't seen before. What am I out? A few bucks. The rest I send them back into circulation except of the AU/BU 2000 and older. You never know when someone needs a nicer circulated coin. I always unconsciously know when one of these are under my scope. When you see how nice that coin is and you wish you'd find SOMETHING on it. But if not, I toss them into a tube for another day.

Coop, you have just given me a great idea! I have a lot of these MD, etc, but never had a place to store them and still be ai hand. You and I, among others always end up emptying our bottles of medications, (and tossing them) Well, no more. They are going to be the "ever-ready "BOO-BOO coins to "show-off"containers! Hmmmm, Now where can I put this one? Container, that is.
