I believe this is the coin from the copper coins website. Date, LIBERTY, and Motto show extra thickness. The D mintmark also appears slightly rotated. I welcome your response.

I am not seeing a DDO at all.Looks like a normal coin with wear.

Try comparing it to another 1944-D in the same condition or better.

Thought I saw somewhere that the upper part of the leg on the first 4 is slightly angled on the DDO of a 44-D. I don't see it on this one.
