My first of this type, the roof is totally floating, is this a Struck Through Grease?

Thank you much

I'm not an expert with American coinage but I seem to remember this is a result of over polishing the die? Someone can confirm that though I'm sure!

I just came across one of those myself. It was a 1970D. The post I made ( https://goccf.com/t/248881 ) had the good folks here leaning towards an overpolished die. Interesting that is was one year apart and from the same mint. I wonder if it was the same die used for the obverse the following year?

I think it is neat to see someone with a coin that has the same characteristics of a coin I have, and it makes me wonder about how deeply the connection between the two coins goes.

Very Cool, your coin is in a lot better condition than mine NICE.
Yes, it does appear to be the same RDV-002 for both the 1969D and 1970D.

It has the Wide AM in America.

My FG is barely visible (Is this a Grease Error?)

Is an over-polished die a Mint Error (officially).

Never noticed that the FG on mine is barely visible as well. I was so caught up in the floating roof that I missed that.

Over polishing also made the columns wavy. No premium on this though.
