I believe this coin has a DDR and a Cud near the rim. However, the DDR was discovered by accident because of this mystery I often find on newer nickels. I often see what looks like extra bottoms or tops on the lettering. Example, the E would have an extra bottom horizontal line, and when magnified that area is raised and not flat.. I put blue arrows pointing to the "extra bottoms" of the letters. Is this a pressure ridge? They are always in the shape of the letter. The purple arrows point to the notching of the real doubled part. I welcome your feedback.

Die Cud on reverse. Die flow on the bottom of the device on "I" on AMERICA. Same on STATES. Looks like the die is in the LDS showing its age.

Thanks BJ! So it's a rim Cud, with die flow because of LDS, with minor doubling on the TA of STATES.

No. That is Die Deterioration. If it were a rim Cud, then it would only affect the outside edge of the rim.
