This coin appears to have some weird things going on on the reverse. I know some of the marks showing are contact marks, however I circled and drew arrows to the areas which do not appear to be contact marks. One area looks like die chips, but they are shaped like the bird's feathers. Could this be a doubled die or extra feathers of some sort. The other area shows something wrapping around the birds wing. I appreciate your help.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking that too, but they are definitely shaped. They seem like feathers because it starts off as a line going diagonal right, then near the bottom goes sharply diagonal left. There are 3 next to each other with all the same distinct shape. It is a puzzler. That squiggly line wraps in and out of the bird's wing twice too. The shapes of these objects in question are very precise, so that is what makes me think this is a design error/variety of some sort. Wonder what others may suggest it is.
Rest in Peace

I looked at this earlier -- I have no idea what happened but I would be interested in seeing the entire coin. Maybe there is a clue to be found there.

Struck by the rim of another coin in circulation.

Thanks all. I will post full coin photos tomorrow. I think you may be right about a rim striking into the coin for that squiggly line Chronoswiss.

The area in question is the circled "extra feathers" in the second photo from the original post. Thanks.

Thanks for the pics. But they aren't helping me at all.

So far my best guess is die scratches.
