1950-D Lincoln Wheat cent w/ Interior Die Break

A fun find this morning..

All zoomed in looking at mint marks when this guy popped up under the scope I had to step back from scope and look at it.

This little guy has a nice size Interior Die Break in-between the 9 and 5 of the date all the way down to the Denver mint mark...

Any comments, suggestions or feedback welcome

Bellow this one is another 1950-D example. I got a long time ago with similar but with slightly different break.

The mint overworked both of those obverse dies.

Looks more like a die hip to me. Because the dies were over used during the 1950's wheat cents, there are all kind of weird events that we find.

LOL Coop, your typo (die hip to me) almost cause a big problem. I had a mouth full of coffee!! That stuff is bad on keyboards!! Most of the Hippies I know came from the 60's.
