I'm going to attempt to assemble a 1938-Present with proofs nickel set for $50 including a Dansco. However, CRHing money is not in the $50. I'm going to trade off some foreign stuff I have to get some of the proofs and harder dates. Going to CRH all the easy stuff and probably buy the 50D and a couple other dates from my LCS.
Do you guys think it's possible?
Thanks!

I think if 64 buffs for $64 is possible, than anything is possible! Good luck and keep us informed!

I'm actually waiting for the same album in mail!
I got the 1950 D from Santa this year and I'm missing a fer of the circulating coins. All I need are mostly proofs and some of the older dates.

Good luck and we'll see who finishes first!

I ended up buying all my proofs. I think finding all the proofs for the 1938-Present will be much more difficult than finding all the key dates. I have thought about buying the 50d online but I will continue to look for it and I will find other keepers in my search.

I agree. I would be shocked if you found all of the proofs before a 1950-D.

Sure it's possible, especially if you plan to do some trading. I have plenty of old extra circulated nickels (no 1950-D though). Hit me up if you want to do some swapping.

I bought a BU 50D from my local coin guy for $10. He was happy to sell them he said Jefferson nickels have been sitting in his inventory for years. I also got a 38DS and 39DS and a few 50's I didn't find CRHing

I am curious what you consider your set to be.
1938 to date?
What grades?

If you end up buying the proofs, they get more and more expensive when
you get the older dates, pre 1955.

The 11 War Nickel could take a good portion of the $50.

In my experience getting the proofs, the War Nickels and a few key dates
can not be done for $50.
