It's hard to say, but maybe no, because the bottom of the leg bulges out and it's too close to Ike's head. Can you take another pic from a different angle? Here is a pic of one of my peg legs (I have 4 now):

Well, after looking at some non peg legs (see pic) that are right up to Ike's head, maybe I'll change my vote to maybe a peg leg. Another angle or two might help.

Here is another one of my peg legs. See how much space is between the leg stump and Ike's head?

Do you have any 1976 type 1 Ikes (any mint mark)? Almost all of them are peg leggers. If you take a look at one of them, maybe that'll give you a reference.
