I just went to a local coin shop and they hand several Walking Liberty Halfs for sale anywhere from $5.50-$6.00. They are all in very good circulated condition. Here are the dates they had:
1917, 1927, 1928, 1940, 1942, 1943, 1945, 1945D, 1946, 1946S, 1941.

Would these be a good investment at this price? Would I be able to get my money back out of these? All help is appreciated. Thanks

As of today, melt value alone on a WLH is $6.05. In my book, you would be about even on those, of course, it all depends on the grade of the coins.

They are priced right at melt, so there's not much down side. I'd at least jump on any pre-1940 halves at that price.
