It is an "odd shape" though....

Beautiful-Pic---How-Did-They-Do-This

This photographer took the photo at an oblique angle with the date in the foreground and the Indian's forehead in the back. They then used graphic software to rotate the image to the normal vertical alignment, resulting in an odd looking final shape.

At first, I thought this coin was bent.

IMHO this coin has been cleaned. It should have been left alone, would have been a nice Buffalo.

I mean, yeah, it's a nice piece of art work, but I have no idea what the coin really looks like. Looks brown.

The coin is tilted toward the light source such that the light reflects directly off the coin and toward the lens. This is known as "pseudo-axial" lighting.
