I have picking up brown (silver proof) Ike dollars lately.
(10 more yesterday)

I am looking for ideas on how to store/box these and keep
them in the OGP.

I am hoping someone has a source to good boxes, that will
be a good fit. I can see long term me getting 50 to 100
of these Brown Ike's

Don't have a good answer, been stacking mine in the back of the safe. Most of my boxes range from decent to excellent. Try to stay away from ones with broken corners ect. Yours look great! Several of my coins are hazy also, try to get the nicer ones, but,if the price is right, I go for 'em

When you get one, you can't stop buying them.

I only have 3, so storage is really not a problem for me.

Looking at some of the options from Wizard and thinking (if you'll pardon the expression) outside the box, this might suit your needs:

http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/whi...age-box.html

You could lay two stacks of them flat side-by-side... At 4.75" high, you'd fit 12 (2 stacks of 6) Brown Ikes per box. For 100 Ikes you'd need 9 boxes @ $12 per = $108.

Or if you didn't want/require the box lid, you could put them in with a long edge facing down in one row and fit 15/box.

In either configuration, you might have to pack the wiggle room with Blue Ikes.

I don't have any of these but I work in a building that has many wealthy residents and they often throw away shoe or clothing boxes from Gucci, etc that sell their products in very sturdy, long lasting, and expensive looking boxes that are great for coin boxes or proof sets, quarter rolls etc and all come in different sizes (sunglasses to shoes to dresses). I have seen them for sale on ebay before and they work quite good if you can find them.

I don't know how I missed seeing that box on Wizard.
I think I will try one on my next Wizard order.

I wish I had your problem.

I keep the Brown Ikes in the Dansco.

I still have the OGP. They are in the same box with the other emptied OGP materials. Nothing special.

Possibly because it's in the currency section. Hope it works out for you.

I understand ... I was cracking out a lot of these ... Filed my Dansco
and a few rolls ...so I do have some empty OGP also.

A couple times I have bought some proof Ike's that did not have the
box, or the box was in bad shape ...glad I kept the boxes.

I forgot to say in the first post, the stacks, from left to right are
1971 1972 1973 1974

I think I only have 20 some brown Ike's that are still in the box.

Not sure what my total number of 40% Ike's is ... But seems like
it is not enough.

If ever there were a "collector" statement, this is it.
