Pretty cool... never found an 80's era Rpm.

I didn't find it on copper coins. Any ideas?

I don't know. It could be an RPM but I also wouldn't rule out plating issues.

Nice Find! Did you check the markers for MM-001?

Me personally, I feel it is either a well placed hit or plating issue. Something jus does not look right for it to be a RPM.

I am talking about the area to the west. The area to the east was obvious, or so I thought.

Did you check 1987D-1MM-014?

The upper serif and the East at the top show on this die? You might check for markers on your coin to see if anything matches. If not, Let me know and I will try to make an overlay if nothing matches?

His MM looks to be too far east to be the 014

It does look a little bit too far east and there are no die markers showing for the 014.

From the E-Disk it looks similar to 1987-D RPM-007 (#7). But again the location is not a match. The images from this thread and the CONECA images I can match up the height of the devices to make them all the same on the date. So the jury is still out on this one for now. I see the CONECA listings are broken up a bit. (Some dies missing between the between #9-#11. #12 and #13 are there though. So they must have pulled a few dies. (probably the ones with a damaged punch for that year) So hang on to this one till we find out more about it.
