I found this dime at work today, is it a die-break Cud?

It looks like a scratch on the coin. It appears to be incuse - is it? A die crack would be raised.

Yes it does look like a crack, doesn't appear to be raised, but the hunk of metal is at the end by the rim, that's why I was thinking of a Cud error, thanks:)

I suspect that the metal at the rim is the result of a hit. A closer photo of just that area might help. Most Cuds I have seen along a rim have been at least as high as the rim itself.

It's still a nice coin, it's silver. :) Does it have a mintmark? Before 1968, the mintmark will be to the bottom left of the torch on the reverse.
