I am interested in selling only very few of my cents but I have NO idea how to do so. Nor do I know what, if any, steps I need to do in order to sell some of them. I have no idea how to price them!or grade them or sending them to be certified. Or even where to sell them...
Please help. Thanks, Jo

Jo , ,Sounds like you need superman ! the first thing you have to do is learn grading of coins just enough where you are comfortable with your grades. I say just enough because if you rush into it to hard you will drive yourself insane. Next , learn what dates and mints are keys and what are common. get prices from e-bay or magazines. when you are comfortable with all, then set yourself up with e-bay and paypal. Or you can sell on this forum to other members, when you have enough posts to qualify . I know I haven't covered everything for you you will be swamped with other things to do by our other members. Good luck.

Getting the right answer could have a lot to do with what coins you are hoping to sell.
If they are common Lincoln where the value is between .02 and .10 then it may not be worth putting a lot of effort in selling them, just take them to a coin shop.
If you have some better date higher value coins, take some good pictures of them and post them here. That way you might get some better suggestions on how and where to sell them.

1. Send to me and forget selling them 2. Put on ebay and list as I have no idea what I have. 3. Give to kids in the neighborhood. 4. Send to me. 5. Keep and become a coin collector.

As has been mentioned, if you tell us a few specifics as to what you have, we can give you a much clearer path to follow.
Simply listing the denomination (quarter, cent, nickel, etc.) and the date and mint mark and posting a short listing here will give us a better idea of what will help you most.
If you list something valuable, or potentially valuable, then we can work on pictures, too.

1) I'm a bit apprehensive about going to my local coin shops bc: a. I'm a female b. I don't have a lot of knowledge yet. Bc of these two points, I don't want to be taken advantage of. You know kind of like a woman getting her car fixed at a local mechanic & he charges her out the nose bc she doesn't know any better. I have a few lists that I got from The Lincoln Cent Resource. The top 50 dd's & the top LCR cent varieties (non proofs) & a few others. - Are these lists accurate? I'm still going through the $110 + in cents that I've gotten in the last 2 weeks. I can share some of the ones that I'm looking to sell. I have a few of most of them, though I'm interested in selling all of them. Listed below in no particular order: 1969 S 1972 DDO 1970 S small date 1982 - different types 1998 Wide AMI have some 1960's key dates (besides the 69-S) And a few key date wheaties, but none in the top 17 of the DDO list. And a few in the top 11 for LCR. And even more in the top 50 on the LCR/varieties list. Perhaps more by Sunday evening, as tomorrow I'm trading in almost $20 in rolled cents for new rolls to scour through.
