Just added this to my type set. This came from my local coin dealer. Grade and thoughts? Sorry for the glare, the coin isn't cleaned though it may look so in the pic.

MS64. Well struck, lusterous and good color with minimal nicks in the rays. A few obverse marks hold it back from a potentially higher grade. Again, luster is a major grading factor on these.

I'm seeing slight signs of circulation so I'd be at AU-58. Look at the leg, bust, top edges of the gown folds at the left, surface marks below eagle on reverse.

I see scuffs and friction on the sun and the rays below the eagle. Otherwise it looks lustrous, with many tiny hits and some scattered hairlines. If it isn't judged as AU due to friction I think it should top out at MS-62 based on the contact marks.

Thanks for the feedback! My coin shop had this at 62. There are some contact marks, but it looks much better in hand and has a nice lustrous original surface. I'm at 62 at best, but I only paid about $100 over melt so I'm good either way. I just wanted a nice example for my humble type set. :)

Scuffs nicks hairlines etc.: yes. I can't see any wear however, so to my eye it has to be some sort of MS grade. I agree with MS62.
