Can you all help me with a match for this BIE? Looks similar to the following but my die markers are not all matching up. I put in a lot of various pictures where the die markers would normally show up. LDB4-1957D-011 LDB4-1957D-047 Thanks for your help.

It looks to me like the LDB4-1957D-047. I am no expert and is just an opinion.

Any other help with this please?
Wouldn't this be considered a BIE error?
Maybe, Just an unlisted one?

Yes it is a BIE. I looked in my Cohen book and did not see an exact match. It is very possible that it is listed by Hardy in the BIE book, a book I don't have. I would give it about a 90% chance it is the LDB4-1957D-047 listed on the Cuds on Coins website, the one you refer to in your original post.

There are ~144 listings for the 1957D in Cohen's book and over 560 in the Hardy BIE Book. So far we only have images of 77 I'll take a look and see if I can find a match and get back to you. JC

That is one of those years that might have close to 1,000 different ones or stages. I have a couple Hundred different 1957-D they are super time consuming to match up even a few I tried and kept it on my to do list

Wow, I had no idea there were that many. I don't have any of the books you all mentioned so I just go off of the cudsoncoins website.
I am sorry I won't ask on this again - if there isn't a match on the website then I will just mark as BIE error.
Thank you for your help.

I can't find a match in Cohen's book or the BIE Handbook. Starting with BIE Handbook. This coin is a 57D-4EL using the Hardy Index. There are 112 listings for 57D-4EL's. The 57D-4EL-38 is the nearest match but without the Die Chip on the 9, the rim to coat Die Crack or the Die Chip on the Left Wheat. Cohen 57D-B442 (PG 76) is a near match but without the rim to coat Die Crack or the Die Chip on the Left Wheat. I would like to include this coin on the COC site. Please email permission to use your images and also I need your name. Can you send me a full image of LIBERTY. Use the JC Stevens email found on this link. http://cuds-on-coins.com/attributio...-what-to-do/Thanks, JC Stevens
