What grade do you guys give this coin. I am trying to hone my grading skills. Thanks for all the help !

I have a grade in mind as well. Pony give us your grade assessement and we will let you know what we think.

It could go that high. The stars on the obverse are inconsistent in the amount of detail they show, the curls are flattened, the curl at the brow seems to have worn to the point that it blends with the forehead, and there is more wear on the leading edges of the eagle's wings than on some of the other recent posts. So...in hand you might grade it XF, but it might just as easily go VF, depending on the color and condition of the coin's surface. It does look a little "flat" on my monitor.

Looks cleaned in the scan. Without the cleaning I'd give it a shot at XF-40, as it is, I'd net it at VF-30/35. Reverse looks slightly better struck to me.

I would grade it XF-45,but others grade more conservatively.

F15 cleaned. it looks like the cleaning is hiding some of the wear
