The corrosion spot makes any grade almost meaningless.

Yes,I will post a pic of the AM.Thanks for responses.Moxking,those arent corrosion spots.I took this coin to a reputable coin shop and was told that a drop of liquid,i.e. soda or saliva can produce these "spots",but no corrosion.Posting pic in a minute.

Thanks John1.Ive just finished some research and find it interesting that carbon spots most times will not affect the grade but will slightly affect the value.The site I was on stated that an MS64 RD coin would be worth slightly more than a MS64 RD coin with 1 or 2 carbon spots.I was thinking MS64 RD for this coin myself.

Thanks John1.I just finished researching my coins issue,"carbon spots".According to PCGS,which has 7 grading levels of "eye appeal",a MS64 RD coin would be slightly more valuable than a MS64 RD coin with carbon spots.They said most times the grade isn't affected but the value is slightly.

it looks like there may be part of a die clash in bay 7 - also. pretty nice coin...even with the corrosion. I have never found a "99" Wide AM.. |

MS62, maybe details due to reverse corrosion. Looks too far gone for acetone or anything, might have eaten into zinc.
