I picked up a Dansco Album with most of the clad Washington quarters (and several silver ones) pretty cheap. I have these quarters already but the photos of the coins showed toning and the price was worth the gamble. Many of the coins show a green/brown toning while viewing straight on. When the coins are turned new colors emerge. Is this normal toning for this series or have they been toning too long?

Pretty normal the toning will change in the light. The only coins that have undesirable toning are the dark black or brown toned coins due to the environmental conditions that they were exposed to.

Absolutely beautiful. Don't let them tone further. Air tites then in zip lock then pouch to absorb any moisture.

Truly like them.

I love toning if it isn't black or dark brown but some toning is beautiful.

Here are a few more. I'm really liking these. I've started moving these to 2x2s until I can figure out what to do with them. I have about 85% of the 1965-1998 set that are nice & attractively toned.

I do not mind the toning. I think these are very nice looking quarters.
