Hi just wondering if any thoughts on this coin being fake
Licinius-Fake-Or-Not-?
IMP LICINIVS AVG
VERTVS EXERCIT
Mint. Aquileia 2nd officna 320 AD
2.92 gr 18mm dia
Aquileia RIC VII 51

Thinking of buying this one at 25 euros to continue my Licinius bust collection. It seems cheap as normally helmeted busts go for around 65/100 euros
Any thoughts appreciated thanks

I found the same image (or very similar), on Google images 'licinius coin'.
G.I. threw me into Wildwinds.
I didn't search through their listings.
Not enough time for me just now.

If you read the footnote in RIC VII for this coin you would know why I would buy it in a heartbeat at 25 euros. (But, I have #40 and the mate to this, #50, so for me it fills a gap.) But, I digress. The footnote points out that this has a distinctive obverse legend not typical for this series. Moreover, though he rates it as scarce in the museum collection survey, all the other coins in this VOT XX series (see standard) are rare.

If you decide not to go for it, please let me know where you found it. There is a seller on Vcoins offering one I don't like as much for US$125.

Looking through the several examples on Wildwinds, I see nothing wrong with this coin.
