but guys are woodies generally worth holding out? or do they go in with the rest of the wheat pennies.

Woodies are nice to look at and I keep the EF or better but don't think they have very much extra value. This particular coin, no I would not keep.

Woodies add value if they have attractive eye appeal. On BU coins they can also help to prove righteous skin.

In the example you show the woodie look is overshadowed by evil corrosion.
