This one I bought from a fellow CCF member just the other day. Will post results tomorrow! NOTE: Those scratches between CENT and CANADA are on the holder, not the coin ![[results]-You-Vs-PCGS:-1917-Large-Cent](https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/uploaded/paulsz/20160121_1917-PCGS-MS64-Rev.jpg) ![[results]-You-Vs-PCGS:-1917-Large-Cent](https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/uploaded/paulsz/20160121_1917-PCGS-MS64-Obv.jpg) Edited by Paulsz 01/22/2016 3:40 pm

I'll say ms65 brown. I think it's a beauty, I prefer that color more than a bright red.

I am torn between 64 and 65, everything looks good except for a couple parts of the strike, very nice coin and wish it was in my collection.

The eye appeal is wonderful. The mark on the cheek might have impacted the grade down to MS-64... but the eye appeal would bring it up to MS-65, in my opinion.

PCGS gave this one a MS64 BN
I agree with SPP on this one, I think the cheek mark is what brought it down to a 64

Glad the piece fits into your collection! I had a thing for the blueish brown large cents at one point...

The strike could/should be a little stronger for a 65 grade. That tiny tic on the cheek isn't a big concern. If the strike and/or lustre were stronger, it'd be in 65 territory.
