Is this a small date proof? If so, what might its value be? I took it out of a proof set I bought.

In small date the top of the 7 is in line with the other numbers. Here, it looks lower to me.

The more I look. It seems to be a large date.

It is the large date, not the small date.

Here is what to look for on these:

Most of the time when collectors ask, it is usually the large date example. But not always. Save this image for a future reference.

Nice info. I just got a 1970-S small date from change yesterday, AU and even wasn't looking. I just looked at it 30 minutes ago.

I went over Richard Coopers pics and the 1st one looks large date. and mine the dates don't match, only with Coopers small date. I have several 1960-D small dates but no 60-d Philly

I was about to take all my LMC back to the bank.

How many small date 1970's have been found?
And how many, if known, are there in possible existence?

That was my 1st. Glad I was looking at the forum or I wouldn't have. I will be hard to tell the number of copies w/o following the amount found and keeping a log or who knows the right answer. There are a lot of Lincoln collectors that will help you. I learn by the forums here and others that members have referred me and I never knew of so many different varieties of other dates.
