If I can get it for under $10, then fine. If not, walk.

Looks like it's been cleaned and has scratches but pictures are not the best?

I think it was abrasively cleaned ANDthen further treated to remove most of the scratches. Whether it's authentic I can't tell.

I'd say it looks real enough and like others agree it's been cleaned but I'd buy it if it went cheap enough. I got the 1921 D dime you were interested in and I'm happy with it for 46.00 considering a PCGS G-6 lists for twice that. I'll add the pic you asked for here.

SCDave - thanks for posting these pics, much better than the ones that seller had. I agree, a quality G6 merc! Nice buy.
As for this other harshly cleaned coin, it is so hard to tell from this photo how the coin really looks. The coin looks so incredibly grainy here it is difficult to discern if the coin is pitted all over or if it's just a weird photo or what. It'll be interesting to see how much it goes for and how many bidders.

I think the coin is legit, but personally I don't find it anywhere near as attractive as SCDave's.

Well, the coin mentioned in my original post went for $74 big ones! http://r.ebay.com/k2EYT9I guess even the scoured, scrubbed, and all-scratched-up-to-hell ones find homes too.
