Last night I posted a 1998 WAM that I had just found. Well I found two more of them this morning. This is my first time searching for them. I have about 5,000 cents total in this batch and I've been through about 3/4 of them now. Are WAMs not as rare as I thought, or am I just getting very lucky? I'm also kind of surprised that they are all 1998, yet I've found no 2000.

One of my finds appears to be MS details, but it has some problem spots (obverse, north of TR in TRUST; reverse, O in OF and two dots over the N in CENT). How much will these problems impact the value?

They are still out there. It would have been nice to find 3 1999 WAMs. The three you have look to be in nice condition. Congrats.

I find on average 3 to 1 for 2000 to 1998 and 98 to 1 for 2000 to 1999

Living in northern Vermont WAM hunting since 2010, I have searched approximately 1,477,500 cents and found.....

2000 - 197
1999 - 2
1998 - 64

My 2016 data with 67,900 coins searched I have found (6) 2000's and (3) 1998's

I think you got 2 awesome boxes to pull 3 - 1998's

Great job.

I quit keeping counts some time ago. I found about equal numbers of 1998 and 2000. Probably between 150 to 200 of each. I have found 21 1999 WAM's. Still Lookin.

I just made it through the last of that batch. Nothing else, but I'm happy with finding three.

I've had similar findings. When I got my first Dixie cup half full of WAM's I figured that there was really no 'rarity' of them, so I just dumped all the WAMs into my junk pile and later into the coin counting machine.
