CCF Press is the robot. Trans Siberian railway coin has nothing to do with RCM, except the fact that they sell this coin.

Yes, I know trying to make light of the dumb course the RCM is heading down by creating coins with no Canadian context,

This coin probably has been commissioned by Cook Islands to RCM, due to the Trans-Siberian Line extension to the Islands....

The mint is winning no fans with this $110 per oz pricing. Is it just me or is 550 for a 5 oz coin crazy? I would understand the price if the coin was something really significant, but a cook islands coin? The Aussie mint (who I feel is the most comparable to the RCM nclt) is selling 5 oz coins with lower mintage in the $300 range.

I do like the Queen portrait.
I looked up "Mother of Pearl" and what I've seen has nothing to do with this green thing which looks more like the stuff they put on the infamous triangular milk coin.
$110 per oz. is definitely a show stopper.
Pass.

This is the 5th coin in the Cook Island series "Mother of Pearl" that began in 2012.
Each "pearl" - if it truly is - is a different colour with a different Cook Island theme.

People the RCM is selling coins from other mints around the world. It saves the hassle of importing these coins, for those that may want a foreign coin. I wonder if other mints sell our coins to their customers. I laugh when some wonder what the coins relationship to Canada is. Of course no relationship, as the coin is minted by someone else. I have no opinion if its a good thing or not. Who or what is the CcF Press, they seem to post all over the forum. I'm just curious, as Bobby forum dad used to post new releases.

I didn't notice anything whatsoever to indicate that this coin was manufactured at another mint. It's possible it was produced by RCM for Cook Islands, as it is also a member of the British commonwealth but does not appear to mint it's own coin. The mints within Commonwealth countries (all sharing the queen's effigy) clearly have an affiliation through cross-promotion of respective NCLT. Likewise, on RCM's website there's often coins from The Royal Mint of Australia or New Zealand for sale.

This coin is listed under the Coins of the World section, which to me is for foreign coins. They could be more transparent and say where its minted. Specs say artist Cook Islands. Its too bad they never offer the hot foreign coins. I could of done with Britain $20 pound longest reign coin. I have noticed its usually the less popular foreign coins that are offered. Like the 2012 great white shark by New Zealand mint offered last year. A little behind the times.
