1843 Large Cent W/ Die Cracks - Coin Community Forum

TJsCoins Pillar of the Community United States 3229 Posts	Posted 01/25/2016 10:15 pm 1843 L.C. I just picked this up at a local show. It shows a little darker in hand and is still very pleasing to the eye. I like the split stars all the way around on the obverse. And note the die cracks on the reverse before the S in states and then through the I in America:) Also note the area at around 8:00 on the reverse; I think its a planchet flaw. The seller said he thought it was a strike through debris. What do you think? Please grade and if you can tell me the variety. Report this Post to the Staff
