I do not trust the authenticity of this coin. It has strong similarities to ones sold on the no-no site as year/mm sets. If you could provide better pictures (top down, and oriented correctly) that would make it easier to verify its authenticity and to grade it. (Yes, people in China really do counterfeit common-date Buffalo nickels..)

Some elements of the strike are too phenominal, particularly the obv. And, is it my eyes, or are those separation lines @ rim & edge?

Any more thoughts on the athintisity of this coin? I would feel like a fool taking it to a coin shop asking for a grade to have them tell me it's fake.

It's such a common date / mintmark that I can't see it being fake, but any reputable coin dealer will be able to give you an opinion, and won't make you feel bad about it.

China is counterfeiting even common date Buffalos and Indian cents. This one does not look genuine.

The OP coin has honest wear for a genuine VF example as there is wear on the date and below the part in the hair on the obverse, and the reverse shows wear on the high points in upper hind leg and hair above the horn. The strike is soft, but I can not find any detail in the photo that would provide evidence the coin is counterfeit.

The nose on the Indian, er, Native American, er, indigenous person... (PC crap)anyways, it looks bigger on the non slabbed coin. Few other details look disproportionate. (Would use OP Coin but I'm not sure what OP stands for lol) I'm assuming my best bet would be to take it to a shop eh?

OP stands for original post. Once you get a professional opinion, please post results as I would be very interested.
