I was sitting down and going through some of my
coins when the date caught my eye and I noticed doubling.
I started looking over the entire coin and notIced there was doubling
throughout the front but didn't notice any on the back. Any thoughts
about what's going on with this coin?

Looks like your coin is in good shape, but not the die.

Looks like a normal coin. Can you point out any doubling?

Thank you CoinMasters, John1, Seal006 and
NDCENT.

First of all thank you John1 for pointing out that
Double "d" I at times mess that up.

I don't know how to use a pointer such as
what others use, but the doubling I'm seeing
mostly with the date the 9 and 5 where the
5 standing out. I would of thought the 5 clearly
shows one 5 indented in on top of the other 5.
The TRUS mostly the "R" showing doubling
And the "w" with we. The doubling with Liberty
straight across also. It was with all on the front of
the coin there appeared to be a doubling. No matter
how many angels or pictures I took I was seeing the
same doubling on each but what kind of doubling was it, I don't
know. The "5" in the date was what was standing
iut with me. I was hoping someone's input would
help me understand what it is I'm seeing. Mostly
with that date which had me mostly confused lol.
The back of the coin I'm not seeing anything but
I could be wrong with that as well.

To me, all I am seeing is glare. Light plays tricks on the eyes. I could be wrong, but that is all I am seeing.

Okay thank you Seal006, so no one is seeing doubling? It's
only me seeing this? It's not the first time I've been told this
may be time to get rid of the different lights were using in order
ti determine what's really there and what isn't. Between the lighting
And the different cameras we can't believe anything we're seeing
anymore lol. Thank you for your input

SA, the coin is the true test, not the pic. Look at the coin in hand, whatever you can't make disappear on it by angling it - is really there. Capture that in your pic.

CoinMaster I read what you had written on mine and went and checked both her coin
and my coin which we usually take the
pictures of the coins in the same area of
the house same lighting. She is at work but I'll fill her in tomorrow but I have a question to ask you. What happens when
you hold it in your hand (under the same
lighting as you did with the picture) and
you see the same images in your hand
would that mean the image is truly there?
Or because your looking at it under the same lighting would it give you that false
image? Because both coins, hers and
mind still show the same images as the
pictures are showing but not as large as what the picture is getting it? So I can still see it on both coins. Would it be safe
to say they are truly there?

Thank you for the advise that's really helpful. I'm sure she'll appreciate that too.

If it is on the coin you can see it under almost any light, even just a bright room. If it is just a reflection, it will change as you angle the coin. Check it out on the coin, if it is actually there, strive to capture it the same way in a picture.

Thank you CoinMasters. We have on a few occasions over
these past few days looked at every angel by hand under
a couple different lights and still saw the images, so what we did
was tried different lighting to see if the images would go away. The
pictures below were taken today. One of the pictures with the date looked
smaller than the other but you can still see the image there more so on
the 5. So it was confusing would the angle make it more difficult seeing
It, and how far away we stood when we took that picture without using the magnifyer along with the phone magnifyer like we had done with the others trying to get the true image. I had put both in here. The others
were also taken today and show the same images as the other day. So
what we're seeing is there but what we're seeing is the question. Any ideas?

They came out darker cause we were trying to block any glare from
lighting being it's a copper penny. I hope these came out okay.

I believe what you have there is a severe case of Die Deterioration. Sorry, better luck on the next one.
