While it's probably not, I have this lovely toned 1901 Indian Head cent that raises a bit of curiosity on my part that it may possibly be a proof.

It's exceptionally well-struck, with highly reflective luster and smooth surfaces with just a tiny mark or two. It really shines in the light. The rims are sharp, but I'm not sure if they're sharp enough to make it a proof.

But, I thought I'd ask.

The photos really don't capture the colors and luster.

Definitely not a proof. Look at the shield and feather tips to start with.

Those rims are definitely not proof rims. Is this another one from those lots?
Rest in Peace

No, it's not from the lots of cents I've purchased previously.

This was an individual purchase.

No proof, but a lovely Indian Head.
