that looks pretty good.

I think if I did I would get a chest where I can easily pick it up with two hands but still make a project of how long it would take.

I think a good pirate chest, with taking some artistic liberties would including a mix of gold, silver, rounds, modern bullion, some bars, and different size coins, to give the loot some "texture" in the chest. Throw in a fair mix of toned/milk spotted coins".

Very cool chest Cascade ... Thanks for posting that.
I like all the different types of silver.

It gave me some ideas. Now I am kicking myself.
A 5oz. Silver skull came in a few weeks ago, and
I did not think about getting it. That won't happen
again.

I was doing this for my son (only 15 months old now) when he gets older! I don't have pictures at the moment, but I was just filling it with some random coins of all denominations. I think it would be a good idea to make it all junk silver. That shouldn't be too hard to do in 5+ years! My chest I got down in Gulf shores. :D Great idea though!

I saw Michaels the craft shop has some reasonable sized chests, that I could stain/distress paint. I want something that I can pick up with both hands and not have a hard time hauling but not itty bitty either.

No, most of the odd ones were poured by a couple that has a business doing that. They're usually at the long beach expo but weren't there last week. Their company name is MK or something like that. He got a little more silver for it that I've been meaning to take pictures of for this thread that I'll do in a few and I'll also get a pic of the stamp on the reverse of the bars and maybe you can find em online

Hey guys, my lil bro got a few more pieces for his chest at long beach. Thought I'd share. Also thought I'd share reverse pics of the MK "bars"

Little bugger even got some sample slabs. I'll be posting those in a solo thread in main or modern

Oh and notice the $20 firm on the freedom girl (who he thought looked like a mermaid because I gave him that siren a few days before we went) well he git it for $16. Firm my butt, Should've said "firm unless your a kid" lol

And the "silverbug island" one with a trasure map X just belongs in a kids silver treasure chest lol.

Pics 3 & 4 are the new additions...
