I have acquired what looks to me, a rare and unidentifiable coin. There are no dates, only images with some writing. I've Googled the writing and it translates from "A FUTURO IN PRAETERITUM"to a future in the past, or a future in past.
1 side is either an "E" or an "M" depending on which way you look at it. The writing on it legible makes it an "M". On the reverse side, it has what I believe to be a leaf, a sun, could be a flower, and either a star, or another flower, and also a cross with a hammer? And a ? Another tool? All images separated by a cross, or an X in the center. This is not centered by any means, not perfectly round, is heavy, I'll get an exact grams weight tomorrow. And also is nowhere near magnetic. Anyone know what this is. Or have you seen 1 before? Thanks in advance!

It reminds me of medieval coins but distinctly modern feel. Something about that E.

The slogan also seems to be a odd modern phasing of latin the same sorta of thing you get by Google translating or just using a foreign dictionary to write sentences in a language that you know nothing about. Maybe something for larping or a renaissance fair? It's sounds really much like reinactment slogan. Just would never think that would be used for coin outside of modern token.

Copper or nickel is not magnetic just means no plated iron. It try's to look like a old hammered coin but I'm betting it's cast.

I could be wrong I let more of the experts in that type of coin discuss it. Thst was just what my gut is telling me. Look at the edges of the coin, is there a slight line around it?

It's customary to attribute this type of coin to The Society For Creative Anachronism, or an organisation like that. Or perhaps a games piece. Yours would appear to be modern, but I would love it just once if one of these pieces turns out to be a really mysterious item.

A "creative anachronism" piece would fit well with the Latin motto, which could translate to something like "to the future by the past"

I deal with fonts a lot at work and just something about the e keeps bothering me seems super familiar haha. Is there any medieval or ancient coins that ever used a single letter as a main design?

Thanks for you inputs. As you asked, looking at the edges they appear to look like this <> they are not flat, I'll try to post a picture of the edging. I would love for it to be a very mysterious piece as well!

The line around the edge means that it's cast, which means that it's not very old and probably modern. My best guess, and it's only a guess, is that it's associated with some type of fantasy game. It's still interesting and mysterious, just not old.

The edge sort of looks like it was designed/made to fit in a bezel.

Not an exact match, but some of the symbols between the arms of the cross look like they are from "Magic the gathering".

It's a cast fantasy piece with virtually no value.

Thanks for all your input everyone, still a neat little find. And was very cool nonetheless trying to figure it out! I'll see what more I can dig up with the information provided.

The four symbols around the cross... one looks to be a modern hammer and chisel, the next a maple leaf? The third is possibly the sun and finally an 8 pointed "symbol of chaos" which I believe is used in the fantasy game "warhammer" though it could derive elsewhere and just be used there.

I agree that it looks modern and cast, but in any investigation surely these symbols are the clue to where it came from.

1. Definitely an E
2. Definitely Priceless
3. Definitely Old
4. Definitely Modern
5. Definitively in the future from the past.

This coin is from a fantasy park in Utah valley called Evermore. It's a cool coin. I don't think very many exist.

@kevsteelio, @molocai, and @hermiony, welcome all of you to CCF and thanks for helping us to solve this mystery. It is always satisfying to have an unknown piece definitely identified. I hope you stick around and help us with some of the other difficult to identify pieces that get posted.
