I've identified 40-50 coin so far. Now I'm working on the more difficult coins. The attachment is a collection of coins that appear to have been laying on each other and caused build-up that is raised to the touch. I've also read threads here and it seems the most popular solution is Acetone. Help?

Verdicare is the only thing that would probably have any kind of effect on those but honestly they all look too far gone to do anything about them

You have bad corrosion, acetone will do nothing other than to dehydrate it....acetone will not remove corrosion.

Yeah , you have some bad corrosion going on there. Nothing that I know of will make those coins look normal again .

Even if saved they all appear to be recent common low denomination tokens and coins that probably wouldn't be worth $1 all together.

I'm sure they most-likely don't have much value. I'm doing this for my uncle, then give him the history on them... If there is any. Thanks all for the help!

I think you should tell your Uncle that it would cost more than they are worth to try to fix them.

To add to it, you've got two pure zinc coins, 2x 1 franc and 1x 5 franc from belgium. All irreversably corroded.

Thanks for the included information! A quick update... I did the soak-in-Coke thing. Surprisingly the Coke removed the raised-gunk. Stay tuned!
