I bought what I orginially thought at the beginning was a 1938-1945 Mercury dime capital plastics holder. When I looked more at it today, it was labeled Bowers and Merena "Kingswood 127". Does anyone knew they made holders of is it just a licensed capital plastics case? I'm debating whether to keep it myself or auction it on ebay. However since it's not Capital on it I'm afraid it won't sell as well. I also don't know if it might be worth more.

It took me two weeks to purchase it since the owner didn't have a price tag on it and took 9 days to email me back a price lol.

Honestly I'm about 70% wanting to keep it 30% want to sell it. I have a merc album but I'm down to the difficult ones I can't find in junk boxes easily.

My dream right now is to get a Captial Plastics 20th century type set holder so I could transfer my set that includes several coins my grandfather gave me over the years however it's so expensive on ebay for them.

I'm guessing it was a custom run by Cap for B&M. Probably designed to stimulate demand for the dime of the month club or something like it.

It looks so much like a capital holder that's what I was thinking.
Rest in Peace

Looks like a pretty nice display board. It's doubtful if another one could be found easily.

I recall there is an older thread discussing these holders https://goccf.com/t/148569 and in that thread there was a link to an even older thread showing a Kingswood Type set in these holders.

Do you think there is a premium over normal capital holders of this type? I think the determining factor would be if I could sell or trade it for a slightly used capital 20th or 19th+20th type sets which are usually around $50.

Honestly, I can't say and I don't want to give you bad advice. You might PM Coins1989 as he might have more insight into the market for this.

I placed it on sale on my ebay if anyone is interested take a look. I know I'm probally asking on the high end of things but I'm not willing to give it up unless I can use it to get a type set holder hash.

Well I was able to sell it for my asking price in less then 5 days from purchase. Looks like I can shop for my type set once it gets there. I had a feeling it was going to sell well because I was getting 40 views a day on it. If it was someone on this website thank you for helping me get what I wanted haha.

This also solves the is it worth a premium debate over a capital holder of the same type. In this case it was little under double in used condition of a normal used capital holder of the same type.
