I found a few of these 1969 packaging error 5ct sets. Note the rippling over the nickle pouch both front and back of the set. I have to rank this the number #one# packaging error with the material used to make PL Sets. My theory what happened at the mint was some 1969 sets had some sort of defect with the nickle pouch. So they went and repaired the sets and some sets the plastic is like a thinner saran wrap giving the wrinkling effect. This is a very cool packaging error and one to watch out for!!

That poor beaver, looks like mange! Anyone watch the South Edmonton auction (icollector) yesterday? An interesting error set with a double clipped dime I think it was, plus many many PL sets in lots of 5 that sold for more than I expected. I was pleased to see a fair amount of bidding action, seems PL sets are more popular than some might expect.

I held that double clip 1979 10ct set in hand but lost out and it sold for $95.00 Canadian not including all the juice. In stead I picked this double 25ct / 2001 set in another auction for cheaper. It will go good with the double nickle set, the first picture of this post.

Funny, I put in a couple of earlier bids as well but missed when the actual item was live auctioned. I had my eye on the Nanuvat mule set, that one got away too.

Very nice double 25c, yes you've got a set!

Nice double quarter set.
As far as the wrinkled plastic on the nickel I think with a little practice it could duplicated fairly easily, I wouldn't buy it for that type of error. just my opinion I know some will like it.

I have a 1996 set that seems to have a 1 cent specimen in it. It does not show very well when I photographed it. The Queen and the leaves are gloss and the fields are matt is this right? is it a specimen cent
