C1 or C2 refers to the Obverse 1 and Obverse 2 (some coin books / websites use this abbreviation)
(Just learned this now looking closer)
The Charlton Guide uses
O for Obverse, R for Reverse
C for 1 Cent, F for 5 Cent, T for 10 Cent, Q for 25 Cent, H for 50 Cent
and then a Number for the Portrait variations
So OC1 would be (obverse - 1 cent - first portrait)
Looks like the post was edited, so if it said "C1/2" before, I agree that could be very confusing Wade.
This is an Obverse 1 (or C1, or OC1) due to the lack of a double chin.
