Hello everyone, this is a coin I am considering purchasing but I do not agree with the sellers grade so I'm coming to you for a second opinion. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks for looking!

It looks to be a contemporary counterfeit.

Otherwise, I would say VF details.

The rims do appear too thick but I think it's genuine although it certainly could be a counterfeit. It has environmental damage and graffiti/scratches so it's a no grade with VF+ details. I would not buy this coin unless it was very cheap because it's not worth much. At all.

I agree with VF details...Has gunk on it, scratches, environmental damage...I'd pass. You can remove the gunk with acetone, but the scratches and environmental damage will always plague the coin.

You should ask the seller to remove one staple & slide the coin out of its holder, and placed on top of the holder for a better photo of each side..

You can also take photos of any edge lettering, as some varieties have edge lettering errors..

I also believe it's genuine. Split grade on this one. V-12 obverse and VF-20 on the reverse.

I'd be at the VF-20 details too. But those scratches on the reverse will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS slap you in the face every time you look at this coin.

Obverse F-15 details, Reverse VF-25 details. Overall VF-20 details, environmental damage, scratches. Unless it is very cheap or by chance a rare overton variety, I'd pass on this one due to the damage.
