What is the appearance difference between the 1953 nickel missing chrome and non missing chrome? If possible, could someone insert a photo so I can see the difference?

"Alloy: Steel coated with nickel .0127 mm and .0003 mm chrome plated"

The colour of Chrome is that of a cold silvery blue. If it's missing the chrome, in comparison, it's colour appears very similar to any other 5c made from nickel. That's because underneath the chrome is a layer of nickel, it's purpose I recall was to improve adhesion of the final chrome finish. Be careful though, it's known that acid can be applied to intentionally remove the chrome finish.
