There are a few giveaways which include: 1: The rim was pushed up because the metal that was dented had to go somewhere. 2: The rim is no longer circular for the same reason as 1, the metal has to go somewhere
When I saw this, at first I thought I may have gotten one of the clipped planchet coins, which I have have been hoping for. Then I saw where the metal was pushed up like you mentioned.
You never know on things and since I haven't had this type of damage before I wanted to make sure.
Sorry all, I turn down the saturation when I photograph the front and back because it has such an off coloring when I have the scope too far away from the coin. I forgot to adjust it when I took pictures of the sides.
